Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Week-long on-call rotation (Monday to Monday): Mon-Fri 11:00 PM - 07:00 AM (Night), Sat & Sun 07:00 AM - 07:00 AM (Weekend on-call/24-hour coverage for the following day). Rotation is currently ~once per month; weekend call-in coverage may require covering scheduled day shifts as noted (rotating day/night on-call schedule).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality MRI scans using Philips 1.5T and 3T systems and support Siemens 1.5T as it arrives
• Operate MRI equipment safely and follow all radiation/safety and MRI-specific protocols
• Provide compassionate patient positioning and communication to ensure comfort and diagnostic accuracy
• Respond to on-call requests promptly and cover assigned on-call shifts throughout the week-long rotation
• Document procedures, findings and patient interactions accurately in EPIC
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists and the care team to prioritize patient care in acute settings
• Maintain equipment readiness and report any issues to biomedical engineering or leadership

Qualifications

• Certified MRI Technologist — ARMRIT certification accepted
• Current BLS Certification required
• Minimum ~2 years MRI technologist experience (per job posting)
• Comfortable operating Philips 1.5T and 3T; familiarity with Siemens 1.5T a plus
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in a week-long on-call rotation
• TX state license not required for submission

Education

• ARMRIT certification (Certified MRI Technologist) accepted/required
• No BSN required

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Philips 1.5T and 3T MRI systems
• Familiarity with Siemens 1.5T MR equipment
• Experience with EPIC for charting and patient documentation
• Strong patient positioning and safety practices in MRI environment
• Good clinical judgment in acute care imaging situations
• Clear communication and teamwork skills during on-call and handoffs
