Roles & Responsibilities

Perform high-quality CT and diagnostic radiographic exams with attention to patient safety and image quality
Operate CT and X-ray equipment, prepare patient rooms, supplies, and necessary medications
Prepare and administer contrast media and perform intravenous contrast injections carefully and accurately
Maintain quality control and enforce departmental policies, ARRT Standards of Ethics, and Enloe Medical Center core values
Collaborate with radiology team and clinical staff to support excellent patient care and efficient workflow
Communicate clearly with patients, families, and team members while applying critical thinking to solve imaging challenges

Qualifications

Current full certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) required
Approved CPR certification required
ARRT certification required or in process; fluoroscopy permit to be obtained within 6 months of hire
Desired: Radiographic contrast media and venipuncture certification, advanced CT certification
Desired experience: Two years diagnostic x-ray and one year CT experience preferred

Education

Current full California Radiologic Technology certificate (CRT)
Approved CPR certification

Knowledge & Skills

Thorough knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and principles of radiographic exposure
Strong patient care and positioning skills
Proficient in radiation protection, radiation physics, and radiobiology
Skilled in contrast media preparation and IV contrast administration
Excellent communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities
