Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality respiratory care and treatments to patients with acute respiratory insufficiencies
• Manage and troubleshoot mechanical ventilators including Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral models
• Perform ABG analysis and deliver appropriate interventions based on results
• Administer respiratory therapies such as CPT, nebulizer treatments, CPAP/BiPAP and other modalities
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Support unit-level goals and participate in quality and safety initiatives

Qualifications

• Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential (required)
• BLS, ACLS and NRP certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital RRT experience (required)
• Trauma experience (preferred)
• Previous Meditech EMR experience (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and teamwork skills, with patient-centered focus

Education

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential

Knowledge & Skills

• Mechanical ventilation management and ventilator weaning strategies
• Experience with Servo I, Hamilton, V60 and Astral ventilators
• CPAP/BiPAP setup and management
• Arterial blood gas (ABG) analysis and interpretation
• Chest physiotherapy (CPT) and nebulizer therapy
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR documentation workflows
• Ability to work effectively on a busy acute care respiratory team
