Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Provide compassionate personal care and comfort under RN/LVN supervision
• Support residents with mobility and safe transfers, promoting independence when possible
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful environment for facility residents
• Document care and communicate resident changes clearly and professionally
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care
• Use basic computer skills to record care tasks and update charts as required

Qualifications

• Current CALIFORNIA CNA certificate (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to work under RN or LVN supervision and follow care plans
• Strong English communication skills — both verbal and written
• Good interpersonal skills; professional, tactful, and respectful with residents and staff
• Willingness to work weekends as part of the day-shift schedule
• Basic computer skills for documentation and charting

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent

Knowledge & Skills

• Resident care and personal care fundamentals
• Activities of daily living (ADLs) support
• Working knowledge of SNF/skilled nursing procedures and routines
• Ability to follow direction from RN/LVN and escalate changes appropriately
• BLS knowledge and emergency response basics
• Basic electronic documentation and computer skills
• Strong verbal and written English communication
