Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Provide compassionate support during meals and mobility assistance
• Monitor and report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Document care accurately and timely to maintain continuity
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
• Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
• Current basic life support (BLS/CPR) preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable working with older adults and providing hands-on care
• Clear background check and up-to-date health screenings as required by facility
• Reliable, punctual, and a team player with strong communication skills

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of resident care standards and basic clinical skills
• Ability to assist with ADLs and safe patient transfers
• Basic documentation and charting skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and empathy for older adults
• Infection control practices and safe hygiene techniques
• Time management and the ability to follow care plans
