Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe mobility and transfer techniques, promoting dignity and independence
• Document care activities accurately and timely in resident records
• Assist with feeding, bathing, grooming, toileting, and bedside comfort
• Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection-control protocols

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Prior experience working with elderly or long-term care residents preferred
• Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations/TB screening
• Compassionate communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADLs and basic bedside care for geriatric populations
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Strong observational skills for monitoring resident status
• Comfortable with documentation and following care plans
• Ability to communicate clearly with residents, families, and care teams
