Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care including assistance with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and patient status, communicating changes to the nursing team
• Assist with safe patient transfers and mobility, prioritizing patient dignity and comfort
• Support efficient unit operations through accurate documentation and timely task completion
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care
• Respond to patient needs with empathy and professionalism, especially during urgent staffing situations

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• Previous experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant preferred, especially in long-term care or skilled nursing
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and required immunizations
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Reliable, punctual, and able to respond to urgent staffing needs

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient hygiene, feeding, toileting, and mobility assistance
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with infection control practices and safe patient handling
• Good documentation and charting skills with attention to detail
• Teamwork mindset and strong interpersonal/communication skills
