Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered nursing care during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
• Prepare patients and equipment for diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures
• Monitor patients closely pre-, intra-, and post-procedure, recognizing and responding to changes
• Collaborate with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care
• Maintain strict infection control and sterile technique in the cath lab environment
• Perform and document moderate complexity testing per CAP requirements
• Operate and assist with fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities as appropriate
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations, and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN license required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider Level BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• One year of experience or training in a Cath Lab/Angio hospital setting preferred
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (CAP moderate complexity testing requirement)

Education

• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (for CAP moderate complexity testing)

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience in Cardiac Cath Lab / Cath Lab/Angio environments
• Familiarity with fluoroscopy and interventional radiology workflows
• Comfortable with diagnostic imaging modalities: CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, PET-CT, Ultrasound, X-Ray, Digital Mammography, Bone Density
• Ability to perform and document moderate complexity testing per regulatory standards
• Strong patient monitoring, critical thinking, and emergency response skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced procedural settings
