Shift Type: Evenings, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (days to be confirmed by schedule)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer medications safely across routes (oral, topical, inhalation, eye/ear, rectal) following facility policy
- Maintain and secure the medication cart and storage areas, ensuring a clean, organized workspace
- Perform medication counts at the beginning and end of shift and coordinate with nursing staff on discrepancies
- Document all administered medications accurately on the MAR per facility procedures
- Take and record vital signs correctly, including apical pulse when required, and report significant changes promptly
- Coordinate with nursing staff to identify and communicate reorder needs for resident medications
- Serve in Charge Nurse capacity when scheduled, leading unit staff and ensuring resident care continuity
- Interact compassionately and effectively with residents, families, and clinical teams during routine care and stressful moments
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) credential in good standing
- Demonstrated experience with medication administration and MAR documentation
- Experience in long term care or skilled nursing/rehab settings preferred
- Comfortable performing medication counts and medication cart management
- Ability to take accurate vital signs and recognize/report significant changes
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently under frequent interruptions
- Professionalism, flexibility, and a passion for caring for long term care and rehab residents
Education
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma or certificate
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration best practices and MAR documentation
- Medication cart organization and secure storage procedures
- Non-narcotic medication counting protocols and shift handoff processes
- Resident assessment basics: vital signs, recognizing clinical changes
- Charge nurse duties: oversight, coordination, and clear communication
- Comfort working with emotionally upset residents and families with empathy
