Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct clinical services and collaborate with providers and clinic staff to deliver high-quality urgent care
• Lead and direct clinic staff to ensure smooth operations at the front desk and in patient care areas
• Maintain medication inventory and manage supplies not on the warehouse PAR system
• Perform and oversee point-of-care quality control checks and specimen collection with accuracy
• Document all care clearly and timely in the medical record to support continuity and compliance
• Open and close provider clinics, ensuring readiness and safe handoff between shifts
• Anticipate provider and clinic needs, assisting proactively to optimize patient flow
• Support infection control and safety practices to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients and staff

Qualifications

• Active, full, unrestricted Registered Nursing license in Alaska (required at time of submittal)
• Urgent care experience within the last 2 years (required)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (current)
• Proof of flu vaccine required
• Willingness to complete fingerprinting process per facility requirements (start date may be delayed until processed)
• Ability to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform regular clinical duties
• Strong communication, teamwork, critical thinking, and customer service skills
• Basic computer proficiency for clinical documentation and point-of-care testing

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Current Registered Nursing license in Alaska (active) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of the nursing process and clinical assessment techniques
• Infection control and safety principles applicable to ambulatory/urgent care
• Experience with specimen collection and point-of-care testing workflows
• Clinical documentation best practices and attention to detail
• Medication inventory management and clinic supply oversight
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and support providers efficiently
• Effective oral and written communication skills and a collaborative mindset
