Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor residents’ condition and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Help create a calm, safe environment during the night shift and support residents’ sleep routines
• Document care delivered accurately and timely in clinical records
• Support rehabilitation and care plans by following assigned tasks and therapy directions
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members

Qualifications

• GNA (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) certification required
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Background check and any facility-required screenings
• Comfort working the night shift (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM)
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with assisting elders with ADLs and mobility support
• Knowledge of infection control and safe patient handling
• Basic clinical observation skills and ability to report changes
• Good time management and documentation practices
• Team-oriented attitude and ability to follow care plans
