Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality acute and swing-bed patient care as a collaborative team member
• Assess patients by collecting and interpreting health data to guide care decisions
• Deliver patient education and health counseling to promote recovery and wellness
• Administer therapies and treatments, delegating and supervising when appropriate
• Execute delegated medical functions and monitor treatment effectiveness
• Document assessments, interventions, teaching, and care coordination accurately and timely
• Collaborate with physicians and ancillary departments to address medical, social, and cultural needs

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse license in the State of Colorado
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program; BSN preferred
• Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
• At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Med/Surg experience strongly preferred)
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and care coordination skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

• Med/Surg nursing knowledge and best practices
• Patient assessment and clinical reasoning
• Patient education and therapeutic communication
• Accurate documentation and charting
