Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients continuously using the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) to provide safe, high-quality ICU care
• Deliver direct, hands-on critical care including hemodynamic monitoring and rapid response to clinical changes
• Communicate timely and clearly with physicians and the multidisciplinary team about patient status and abnormal findings
• Develop and execute individualized care plans and document patient progress thoroughly
• Provide patient- and family-centered teaching to support recovery and discharge planning
• Lead and guide other nursing personnel while maintaining ICU standards of care and patient confidentiality
• Perform required competency testing and maintain certification-related skills

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license
• BLS and ACLS required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital or critical care setting
• CCRN (Critical Care RN) certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications listed as desirable
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred
• Active registration in Nursys or ability to provide equivalent licensure verification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking in high-acuity settings
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation of diagnostic results
• Proficiency with ICU-focused nursing interventions and direct patient care
• Experience with EPIC or similar electronic medical records
• Effective patient/family education and communication skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and respond quickly to changes in condition
