Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care on a Medical-Surgical/Telemetry unit
• Monitor telemetry and cardiac rhythms, recognizing changes and escalating concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments safely within LPN/LVN scope of practice
• Collaborate with RNs, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
• Document assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the chart
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, medications, and discharge instructions to support recovery

Qualifications

• Active LPN/LVN license (must be valid and in good standing) - required
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience, with Med-Surg or Telemetry experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced inpatient setting and monitoring cardiac telemetry
• Ability to pass facility credentialing and background checks prior to start

Education

• Completion of an accredited vocational or practical nursing program (LPN/LVN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation fundamentals
• Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
• Medication administration and safe nursing documentation
• Effective communication and teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting
• Familiarity with electronic health records and charting
