Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care for trauma, burn, and surgical ICU patients
• Manage and troubleshoot critical care equipment and assist with ventilator care
• Perform wound care, manage EVDs and participate in Massive Transfusion Protocol activations
• Respond rapidly and effectively to codes and emergent situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Communicate clearly with patients, families, and care teams to ensure safe transitions
• Document patient care accurately and promptly in Meditech

Qualifications

• Active RN license (required) and current licensure in the state or ability to obtain Texas RN licensure
• Minimum 1 year of relevant ICU experience (Trauma, Burn, or Surgical ICU preferred)
• Strong critical thinking and communication skills; team-oriented attitude
• Preferred: BSN
• Preferred: CCRN

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable working in high-acuity ICU settings with 2:1 patient ratios
• Familiarity with critical care equipment and trauma/burn ICU technology
• Experience with Meditech EMR or similar electronic charting systems
• Skilled in wound care, EVD management, MTP participation, and code response
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and adapt in fast-paced situations
