Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care for ICU patients, performing thorough patient assessments
• Continuously monitor patients and respond promptly to changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and execute patient-centered care plans
• Float to acute care floors when needed, adapting quickly and safely to new settings
• Document assessments, interventions and patient progress accurately and timely
• Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain high standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (state license verification required)
• Experience in ICU/critical care nursing and strong patient assessment skills
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications
• TNCC and NIHSS certifications preferred/required per job checklist
• Completion of required health screenings and immunizations (Fit test, drug screen, Tdap, MMR, Hep B, Influenza, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, COVID-19 vaccine)
• Willingness to complete Trinity-specific competency testing and skills checklists

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care and ICU nursing principles
• Patient assessment and continuous monitoring
• Ability to triage and prioritize in high-acuity situations
• Comfort floating to acute care floors and adapting to new team workflows
• Familiarity with documentation standards and license/certification maintenance
