Roles & Responsibilities

• Monitor cardiac telemetry and promptly assess and respond to rhythm changes and alarms
• Perform thorough patient assessments and document clinical findings accurately
• Administer medications safely and according to orders while following medication safety protocols
• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to telemetry patients and escalate concerns as needed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Initiate BLS/ACLS protocols and advanced cardiac life support when clinically indicated
• Complete required Prime competency exams, skills checklists, and documentation in a timely manner
• Maintain compliance with immunization, fit testing, and drug screening requirements

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license; Nursys and license/certificate verification required
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications current
• CPI and DCI/BVP certifications required
• Telemetry experience and comfort with cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies, specialty and pharmacology screening exams
• Current immunizations, TB test, 10-panel drug screen, and fit test compliance

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry and cardiac monitoring interpretation
• Patient assessment and clinical decision making
• Basic rhythm interpretation and basic pharmacology knowledge
• Strong documentation and electronic charting skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and respond to rapid changes in patient status
• Familiarity with Prime testing and competency processes
