Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams across radiology cases
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring accurate imaging
• Collaborate closely with radiologists and the care team to support diagnoses
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and clear communication
• Document exam findings and maintain accurate patient records and imaging files
• Adhere to safety, infection control, and departmental protocols at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of ultrasound/sonography experience (as listed)
• Current registry or certification in diagnostic medical sonography (ARDMS, ARRT-S, or equivalent) preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification or willingness to obtain
• Demonstrated experience in radiology ultrasound exams and patient positioning
• Professional, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

Education

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program (Associate degree or higher) or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency in sonographic techniques and imaging principles
• Familiarity with PACS/DICOM workflows and electronic medical records
• Strong patient assessment, positioning, and bedside communication skills
• Ability to follow protocol-driven exams and adapt to clinical needs
• Attention to detail for image quality, documentation, and safety
