Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures following department protocols and regulatory standards
• Position patients accurately and safely to achieve high-quality diagnostic images
• Process, transmit and archive images to PACS promptly and accurately
• Act as the first-line imaging interface with patients and clinical teams, delivering compassionate care
• Participate in performance improvement (PI) and quality control (QC) activities to improve outcomes
• Ensure compliance with HFAP/TJC/CMS, state and federal regulations in daily practice
• Maintain equipment readiness, documentation and proper infection-control practices

Qualifications

• Current CRT issued by CDPH (required)
• ARRT (Radiography) certification (required)
• Current BLS (AHA) / BCLS (required)
• Graduate of a JRCERT- or ABHES-accredited radiography program (required)
• Fluoroscopy permit from CDPH to be obtained within 6 months of hire
• Venipuncture certification to be obtained within 3 months of hire
• At least 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist preferred
• Familiarity with state and federal regulatory requirements
• Proficient computer skills and experience with PACS/image processing

Education

• Graduate of a JRCERT- or ABHES-accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiographic procedures and patient positioning
• PACS operation, image processing and transmission workflows
• Quality improvement and quality control processes
• Regulatory compliance: HFAP, TJC, CMS, state and federal regulations
• Fluoroscopy procedures and safety practices
• Venipuncture and specimen handling
• Strong communication and patient care skills
