Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric patients in the Cardiovascular Lab with compassion and precision
• Monitor and record physiologic and hemodynamic data continuously during diagnostic and therapeutic cardiac procedures
• Assist physicians during cardiac procedures and communicate patient status clearly and promptly
• Assess procedure room and equipment readiness and proactively obtain necessary supplies for cases
• Maintain and troubleshoot cardiovascular equipment and support inventory management
• Participate in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
• Address psychosocial and physical needs related to the surgical environment, ensuring patient comfort and safety

Qualifications

• Active state Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• BLS (AHA) required and ACLS required upon hire and to be maintained
• DCI/BVP certification required (as listed)
• Minimum one year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area
• Nursys license verification included in onboarding
• Compliance with required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, TB, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, etc.)

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Associate degree in Nursing acceptable when combined with required experience; active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient and physiologic monitoring with strong hemodynamic assessment skills
• Cardiac procedural support and familiarity with cardiovascular lab workflows
• Direct patient care skills for adult and geriatric populations
• Effective communication with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
• Supply management, equipment maintenance, and inventory control
• Performance improvement and quality assurance practices
• Critical care fundamentals and rhythm interpretation basics
