Roles & Responsibilities

• Scrub and assist physicians during cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures with precision and focus
• Operate and support fluoroscopy and diagnostic radiology equipment in accordance with permits and safety protocols
• Prepare procedural equipment and maintain a sterile field to protect patient safety
• Monitor patient status during procedures and communicate changes promptly to the care team
• Accurately document procedures and patient data in the unit EMR
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians and techs to ensure efficient, high-quality patient care
• Aid in setup, turnover and decontamination of cath lab rooms to maintain throughput
• Participate in occasional on-call shifts as needed, demonstrating reliability and teamwork

Qualifications

• California Radiology Technologist Fluoroscopy Permit (required)
• California Diagnostic Radiology Technologist Permit (required)
• CRT - Fluoroscopy and CRT - Diagnostic Radiology certifications (required)
• ARRT license (required)
• ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Minimum 2 years of scrub experience in a cardiac cath lab (required)
• RCIS certification (preferred)
• Proven ability to work well in a team, maintain positivity and adapt in a fast-paced cath lab environment

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in scrubbing Cardiac Cath Lab procedures including R/LHC
• Experience with coronary and peripheral interventions
• Familiarity with electrophysiology procedures, including pacemaker cases
• Exposure to diagnostic and interventional neurology procedures
• Fluoroscopy operation and radiation safety knowledge
• Strong sterile technique and procedural workflow skills
• Patient monitoring and intra-procedure communication skills
• Accurate EMR documentation and procedural record keeping
