Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Provide direct, hands-on ICU care and perform hemodynamic monitoring with accuracy and urgency
• Develop and implement individualized care plans and adjust interventions based on patient response
• Communicate clinical changes and abnormal results clearly and promptly to physicians and care teams
• Deliver meaningful patient and family education to support recovery and informed decision-making
• Maintain strict patient privacy and confidentiality in all interactions and documentation
• Document care and clinical findings in EPIC EMR and participate in required competency testing and skills checklists
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to maintain high standards of ICU care

Qualifications

• Current and valid state RN license (must be active)
• BLS required, ACLS required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in acute care hospital critical care
• CCRN certification preferred
• EPIC EMR experience preferred
• NIHSS and DCI/BVP certifications listed as preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination and boosters preferred
• Must be able to complete required screenings: TB, drug screen, fit test, immunizations, and Prime competency evaluations

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Critical care nursing and acute care experience
• Hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation
• Direct patient care in an ICU environment
• Patient and family education best practices
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR documentation
• Understanding of patient privacy and confidentiality regulations
• Ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition
