Shift Type: Night shifts (Per diem) — specific start/end times and days vary by assignment and are not provided

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide specialized nursing care to neonates in the NICU, applying neonatal resuscitation and advanced assessment skills
Perform timely and accurate clinical interventions following unit protocols and best practices
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize infant outcomes
Document clinical findings, interventions, and patient responses clearly and professionally
Support families with compassionate communication, education, and involvement in care
Participate in required competency testing and maintain currency of specialty skills

Qualifications

Current RN license (valid for practice in California) required
Experience or strong interest in NICU nursing; ability to work night shifts (per diem)
Certifications required: BLS and NRP
DCI/BVP certification as listed
Successful completion of license and certificate verification and unit competency exams
Compliance with health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB test, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, Varicella, Tdap, fit testing, and drug screening

Knowledge & Skills

Neonatal resuscitation and stabilization (NRP)
Basic Life Support (BLS) competency
DCI/BVP protocols and practices
Clinical observation and assessment of neonates
Ability to complete required competency and specialty exams
