Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to oncology BMT ICU patients with compassion and precision
• Manage ventilators and BIPAP therapy, adjusting settings and monitoring response
• Titrate vasoactive drips safely and document changes according to protocol
• Perform tracheostomy care, dressing changes and total care for critically ill patients
• Operate and monitor CRRT, A-line management and IV pump therapies as needed
• Thoroughly document patient care and interventions in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with physicians, transplant teams and multidisciplinary staff to optimize patient outcomes
• Support unit triage and maintain safe 2:1 patient ratios through effective prioritization

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (current and in good standing; state-specific licensure required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU or critical care nursing experience (strong ICU experience required)
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (required)
• Proven experience with ventilator management and titrating drips
• Comfort with tracheostomy care, A-line monitoring and IV pump management
• CRRT experience preferred
• Transplant experience (kidney, pancreas, liver) preferred
• Ability to work rotating weekends and integrate into a fast-paced oncology ICU

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing principles and total care of the critically ill patient
• Ventilator management and BIPAP expertise
• Titration of vasoactive drips and hemodynamic monitoring
• Tracheostomy care, dressing changes and airway management
• Familiarity with CRRT, A-line setup and Flow-track monitoring
• Proficient use of Meditech EMR for charting and communication
• Strong teamwork, communication and rapport-building with physicians and staff
• Ability to prioritize in high-acuity, fast-moving clinical environments
