Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, patient-centered perioperative nursing care from pre-op through recovery
• Maintain and direct sterile fields and ensure aseptic technique during procedures
• Perform accurate sponge, needle and instrument counts and communicate results clearly
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and surgical techs to optimize patient outcomes
• Safely administer medications and IV therapy and document patient responses
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient goals
• Deliver clear, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care
• Act as a supportive preceptor and contribute to team learning and professional development
• Respond promptly and effectively in emergency situations and promote patient safety

Qualifications

• Current MA RN License required
• BLS required upon hire; ACLS must be obtained within 60 days of hire
• Recent Operating Room (OR) experience required
• CNOR certification preferred
• Strong communication and critical thinking skills
• Ability to take call per unit rotation
