Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients, applying ACLS/BLS protocols when needed
• Perform thorough patient assessments and continuously monitor hemodynamic status
• Operate and manage critical care equipment and participate in ventilator care as appropriate
• Respond rapidly to emergencies and lead resuscitations using ACLS standards
• Collaborate closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care
• Document patient care accurately in the medical record and complete required competency exams and checklists
• Adhere to facility infection control and occupational health requirements (fit testing, screenings, immunizations)

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (verifiable via Nursys)
• Minimum 2+ years of recent ICU/critical care nursing experience
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications (AHA) required
• DCI/BVP (background/check) completion as required
• Ability to pass Prime Core Competencies Exam, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam
• Up-to-date immunizations and screenings per facility policy (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB, Hep B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, drug screen, fit test, etc.)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care nursing knowledge and ICU best practices
• Proficiency with ACLS and BLS resuscitation algorithms
• Skilled clinical assessment and continuous patient monitoring
• Comfortable with 12-hour night shift workflow and handoffs
• Familiarity with licensure verification systems (Nursys) and travel nurse onboarding processes
• Ability to complete specialty competency exams and checklists
