Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, accurate medication dosing including vancomycin, aminoglycoside and anticoagulant dosing
• Perform medication verification and first-dose reviews to ensure timely patient care
• Supervise and collaborate with pharmacy technicians on sterile IV compounding using Dose Edge
• Manage Pyxis systems and emergency medication boxes to maintain unit readiness
• Consult on pain management and support clinical pharmacy initiatives across the inpatient setting
• Document interventions in the EMR (Meditech) and communicate with clinical teams for optimal outcomes

Qualifications

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (required)
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Missouri (MO) — required
• Minimum 1 year of pharmacy experience (as indicated in the posting)
• ACLS and BLS preferred
• NICU experience preferred but not required
• Experience supervising technicians and working with automated dispensing systems (Pyxis, Pak Edge) preferred

Education

• Degree from an accredited Pharmacy School (PharmD or equivalent as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with Meditech EMR documentation and workflows
• Experience with Dose Edge for sterile IV compounding verification
• Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems and Pak Edge
• Strong medication verification and clinical dosing skills
• Comfort supervising pharmacy technicians and ensuring compounding safety
