Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate nursing care on the Med/Surg/Telemetry unit during night shifts
• Monitor cardiac telemetry continuously and intervene promptly on changes
• Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Administer medications and IV therapies accurately and per policy
• Coordinate care with physicians, RRT, and the interdisciplinary team to support timely discharges
• Maintain accurate documentation, complete required competency testing, and uphold unit standards

Qualifications

• Active, verifiable Registered Nurse license (Ohio)
• BLS, ACLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing
• License/certificate verification required
• Current health requirements: COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, 2-step PPD or IGRA, Varicella, fit test, physical/health statement, and Trinity drug screen
• Experience in Med/Surg and Telemetry patient care preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Strong assessment and clinical judgment for adult Med/Surg populations
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency response (ACLS readiness)
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Ability to complete Trinity competency processes and demonstrate specialty skills
• Effective communication and teamwork under night-shift conditions
