Roles & Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized nursing care to infants in the NICU, applying neonatal best practices
• Perform neonatal resuscitation and stabilization following NRP protocols when needed
• Complete required Prime Core Competencies, Prime Skills Checklist, and Prime Specialty Exam to demonstrate competency
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team
• Participate in infection control and occupational health requirements to keep patients and staff safe
• Support families with education, compassion, and clear communication during their infant's care

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state licensure required)
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• DCI/BVP certification as listed
• Successful License/Certificate Verification and completion of Prime checklist/exams
• Up-to-date occupational health requirements (COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, TB, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, influenza, drug screen, fit test)

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical knowledge of neonatal assessment, monitoring, and interventions
• Skilled in NICU equipment and technology used for neonatal support
• Strong documentation and clinical communication skills
• Ability to perform under pressure and prioritize care for critically ill infants
• Family-centered care and patient education skills
• Familiarity with regulatory and hospital-required competency testing
