Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients, maintaining safety and excellent clinical outcomes
• Manage ventilators and perform advanced airway interventions including intubation when needed
• Perform and monitor invasive devices and procedures such as central line and arterial line placement care
• Care for patients with EVDs in collaboration with core neuro staff
• Accurately document patient care in Meditech EMR and communicate clear handoffs
• Prioritize and coordinate care in a 2:1 patient ratio environment to optimize patient outcomes
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Support unit policies and participate in weekend coverage and scheduling commitments

Qualifications

• Current and active RN licensure in the state of practice (required)
• Minimum 1 year of ICU/critical care nursing experience (required)
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred
• Hands-on experience with intubation, central line and arterial line patient care
• Comfort caring for neuro and oncology patients; EVD patient care experience a plus
• Able to work nights and meet weekend staffing expectations

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care assessment and monitoring skills
• Proficiency with ventilator management and advanced airway care
• Familiarity with invasive line care: central lines and arterial lines
• Experience using Meditech EMR for documentation and medication administration
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced ICU settings with a 2:1 patient ratio
• Excellent teamwork, communication and accountability in high-acuity environments
