Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care as a MedSurg Telemetry and PCU float RN on night shift
• Monitor and manage cardiac patients, including post-Cardiac Cath care
• Interpret telemetry and cardiac rhythms, applying ACLS and BLS protocols when needed
• Document patient care accurately in EPIC and maintain up-to-date records
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Perform skilled assessments, interventions, and patient education for cardiac and med/surg populations
• Participate in required competency testing and skills checklists to ensure clinical readiness
• Maintain compliance with licensure, immunizations, and required screenings

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Rhode Island or compact state eligibility accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years recent experience as an RN in MedSurg Telemetry or PCU
• Minimum 2+ years cardiac experience, including expectation of Cardiac Cath exposure
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications required prior to start
• EPIC clinical documentation experience required
• Willingness to complete Nursys verification and provide required documentation within stated timeframes
• Ability to pass drug screen, immunizations, TB testing and other health requirements listed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong telemetry monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic health record
• Cardiac patient management, including post-catheterization care
• Critical thinking, triage, and rapid assessment in acute care settings
• Excellent communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff
• Familiarity with Prime competency exams and skills checklist processes
