Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform all CT and X-ray exams accurately and efficiently in the ED/Free Standing ED environment
• Operate GE Tempo and GE Maxima CT systems and perform CT post-processing for diagnostic-quality images
• Prioritize and execute CT protocols for stroke patients to support rapid diagnosis and treatment
• Document imaging procedures in Meditech and manage images in GE Centricity PACS
• Provide professional, empathic patient interactions and ensure patient safety during imaging
• Collaborate with ED staff and physicians to support timely imaging and patient flow
• Maintain equipment and report any issues to ensure uninterrupted imaging services
• Adhere to unit-specific policies, dress code (black scrubs), and department guidelines

Qualifications

• ARRT (R) registration required; CT certification (ARRT CT) strongly preferred
• Current CPR certification required
• At least 1 year of radiology/CT experience preferred (unit indicates 1 year preferred)
• Proven experience with CT post-processing and stroke protocol imaging
• Comfortable working independently in an ED/Free Standing ED with 1 tech per shift
• Familiarity with GE Tempo, GE Maxima CT, and AMX equipment is a plus
• Experience with Meditech and GE Centricity PACS for documentation and image management

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of CT and X-ray imaging principles and safety
• Proficiency in CT post-processing and advanced stroke imaging protocols
• Comfortable using GE Centricity PACS and Meditech documentation systems
• Equipment familiarity: GE Tempo, GE Maxima CT, AMX
• Strong patient communication, prioritization, and emergency department workflow skills
• Ability to troubleshoot routine imaging equipment issues and escalate when needed
