Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate critical care to ICU patients, ensuring safety and dignity at every step
• Continuously monitor cardiac rhythms and interpret changes to act quickly and confidently
• Manage ventilators, BiPAP, Airvo and perform tracheostomy care and suctioning for respiratory patients
• Assess hemodynamics and titrate drips per protocol to support hemodynamically unstable patients
• Operate and troubleshoot bedside equipment (GE monitors, Alaris pumps) and dialysis/CRRT devices as needed
• Document assessments and interventions accurately in the Meditech EMR to keep the team informed
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• Participate in unit procedures such as central line care, chest tube management, and assist with advanced interventions

Qualifications

• Valid RN license (able to practice in Texas) — required
• Minimum 1 year of ICU / critical care nursing experience (per job requirements)
• Comfortable with cardiac monitoring, rhythm interpretation and titratable drips
• Experience with ventilator management, tracheostomy care, BiPAP and Airvo
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR or similar documentation systems
• CRRT / SLED experience is preferred
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain) recommended

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Hemodynamic assessment and titratable vasoactive drip management
• Ventilator management and respiratory support (BiPAP, Airvo, tracheostomy care)
• Experience with CRRT and SLED modalities (preferred)
• Proficient documentation in Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with GE bedside monitors, Alaris IV pumps, Prismax and Tablo
