Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, compassionate care to cardiac and critically ill CVICU patients
• Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and hemodynamic data to guide timely interventions
• Administer medications and titrate vasoactive infusions per protocol
• Manage ventilators and coordinate respiratory care in collaboration with the team
• Perform thorough documentation and handoffs to maintain continuity of care
• Respond quickly to emergencies and participate in code and rapid response situations
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and support family-centered care

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (compact license accepted where applicable)
• Minimum 1 year of CVICU or critical care nursing experience
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to manage high-acuity patients
• Ability to work 12-hour day shifts and adapt to a travel assignment schedule

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Active RN license required

Knowledge & Skills

• In-depth knowledge of cardiac critical care and post-operative management
• Familiarity with invasive hemodynamic monitoring and telemetry
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory support
• Proficiency using electronic health record systems for documentation
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration skills
