Roles & Responsibilities

Lead and direct hospital staff in interpreting and applying policies to ensure safe, consistent patient care
Coordinate patient flow and resource allocation across units to optimize throughput and staffing
Organize daily workflow and delegate duties so teams know priorities and responsibilities
Monitor staff productivity and provide constructive coaching and feedback to support professional growth
Collaborate with charge nurses, clinical leaders, and the Chief Nursing Officer on administrative decisions
Respond promptly to patient and family concerns, ensuring compassionate resolution and clear communication
Oversee the use and assignment of nursing resources during high-acuity periods and unexpected surges
Initiate and lead special projects to improve processes related to patient flow and unit efficiency

Qualifications

Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Montana
Minimum 3 years' RN experience in a hospital setting with recent ICU experience preferred
CPR required
ACLS and PALS required or must be obtained within 6 months of employment
Experience with ventilator support, A-lines, invasive lines, chest tubes, IV pumps, and cardiac monitoring
Proven leadership experience (charge/ resource nurse or supervisory roles) and strong critical thinking

Education

Degree from a Nursing Program

Knowledge & Skills

Advanced nursing principles and post-operative and medical patient care
Patient flow management and resource allocation
Cardiac monitoring and critical care skills
Strong interpersonal skills for coaching, feedback, and multi-level collaboration
Ability to operate advanced medical equipment and multiple IV pumps
Problem solving, teamwork, and administrative decision-making
