Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory tests and procedures accurately and according to established protocols
• Collect, process, and analyze clinical specimens including blood, urine and tissue
• Operate, maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment
• Prepare reagents, solutions and media needed for daily testing
• Maintain accurate records of test results and ensure proper data management in the LIS
• Follow SOPs and laboratory safety procedures to ensure quality and compliance
• Collaborate with laboratory colleagues and healthcare teams to support excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience as a Laboratory Technician or similar role in a clinical laboratory setting
• Proficiency in blood sampling and clinical testing areas: hematology, chemistry, microbiology, coagulation, urinalysis and blood banking
• Experience using Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) for accurate data entry and management
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills and excellent teamwork/communication
• Phlebotomy experience or hospital setting experience is a plus
• Appropriate CLT/CLS certification or licensure where required by state/practice is preferred
