Roles & Responsibilities
- Evaluate patients under physician orders to identify functional strengths and areas for improvement
- Develop individualized treatment programs using therapeutic procedures and assistive devices to maximize daily living skills
- Implement and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and multidisciplinary team input
- Document patient assessments, treatment plans and progress in accordance with facility policies and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with the Manager of Rehabilitation Services and referring physicians to ensure coordinated, safe care
- Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques and safe use of assistive devices to promote independence
Qualifications
- Current CA Occupational Therapist License (required)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy (required)
- Ability to follow physician orders and work under direction of the Manager of Rehabilitation Services
- Must practice in accordance with the California State Practice Act
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in occupational therapy evaluation and treatment planning
- Experience with therapeutic procedures and selection/use of assistive devices
- Proficient in patient evaluation and progress documentation
- Working knowledge of the State Practice Act and regulatory compliance
- Strong communication and interdisciplinary teamwork skills
