Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform CT and radiology procedures following prescribed techniques, adjusting equipment settings and positioning patients to obtain high-quality images
• Prepare exam rooms and equipment, manage contrast material and necessary supplies for procedures
• Practice radiation protection techniques to minimize exposure for patients and staff
• Perform routine quality control tasks and maintain required quality control reports
• Clean and maintain x-ray rooms and imaging equipment daily to ensure safe, reliable operation
• Assist with patient scheduling, phone triage and general office duties as needed to keep the imaging team running smoothly
• Participate in on-call rotations and respond to call assignments as required
• Perform basic diagnostic testing and general maintenance on imaging equipment

Qualifications

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training in an AMA-approved program
• ARRT registration required
• CT certification and at least 6 months experience in Computerized Tomography
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• MRI experience preferred but not required
• Willingness to relocate to a rural area

Education

• Completion of formal radiologic technologist training in an AMA-approved program (certificate or associate degree as applicable)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of radiography and patient positioning
• Expertise in CT operation and imaging equipment operation
• Radiation protection and safety practices
• Quality control procedures for imaging modalities
• Familiarity with diagnostic imaging, X-ray techniques and basic equipment maintenance
• Good communication and patient care skills, including scheduling and front-office interactions
