Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic mammography and CT exams with attention to image quality and patient safety
• Execute screening, diagnostic, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast needle localization, and specimen radiography
• Operate and maintain CT and mammography equipment, run automatic injectors, and perform routine quality control
• Assist with interventional procedures and sterile technique when required
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with ACR/FDA and departmental policies
• Provide excellent patient care and communication across all age groups and cultural backgrounds
• Participate in departmental quality assurance, inventory, and supply ordering

Qualifications

• Current ARRT certification in Radiography (required)
• BLS certification required within 45 days of start
• Clinical Competency assessment required within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform required diagnostic exams for assigned modalities and maintain modality competencies
• Willingness to rotate modalities and take call as needed, reporting within 20 minutes when called
• Prior experience with mammography procedures and CT/contrast administration preferred

Education

• Certification: Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• BLS certification (AHA) required within 45 days
• Clinical Competency Assessment as required by SEARHC within 3 months of hire

Knowledge & Skills

• Mammography, CT, Radiography, and Ultrasound techniques
• Quality assurance and quality control procedures
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Specimen radiography and stereotactic breast biopsy assistance
• Teleradiology transmission competency and sterile technique
• Strong patient care, transfer, and communication skills
