Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform radiographic examinations of all body parts for diagnostic interpretation with professional judgment and adherence to radiation protection principles
• Operate CT and X-ray equipment, set up and run automatic injector, and adjust contrast protocols by age group
• Assist with interventional procedures and invasive imaging when needed, including sterile technique support
• Maintain patient records, ensure quality assurance, and perform daily/weekly QC on imaging equipment
• Support tele-radiology transmission and consult with referring physicians to ensure optimal patient care
• Participate in supply inventory, ordering, and general equipment care to keep the department running smoothly
• Transfer and position patients safely, provide age-appropriate care, and adjust protocols for pediatric and geriatric patients
• Rotate shifts as required and assume departmental responsibility in the absence of a supervisor

Qualifications

• Current ARRT (Radiography) required
• Clinical competency demonstrated within 3 months of hire and maintained every three years
• Able to perform all diagnostic exams related to assigned modality
• Willingness to learn and maintain competency in multiple imaging modalities (XR, MRI, CT, Mammography as assigned)
• Comfort assisting with venipuncture and contrast administration
• Ability to work well under stress and respond promptly when on call

Education

• Current ARRT in Radiography (required)
• Clinical competency required within 3 months of hire and periodic revalidation thereafter

Knowledge & Skills

• Diagnostic radiography and CT imaging expertise
• Radiation protection and patient safety best practices
• Contrast administration and automatic injector operation
• Quality assurance, equipment care, and record maintenance
• Tele-radiology transmission and sterile technique competence
• Patient positioning across the lifespan and strong patient care skills
• Familiarity with MRI, mammography, nuclear medicine concepts preferred
