Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee the Radiology program to ensure high-quality imaging services and regulatory compliance.
• Track incoming radiology studies to ensure proper submission and timely reporting.
• Provide PACS training and support for staff to maintain efficient image management workflows.
• Manage radiology equipment maintenance, inspections and vendor quotes to keep systems safe and operational.
• Create and maintain radiology policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with accreditation and regulatory requirements.
• Lead the radiation protection monitoring program for all staff exposed to radiation and perform lead apron testing.
• Partner with clinic administrators, medical directors and Finance to maintain the chargemaster and identify revenue opportunities.
• Ensure QA/QC activities and MQSA requirements are completed and documented.
• Supervise radiology staff daily, conduct timely evaluations, and ensure staff competency for performed exams.
• Perform radiologic exams when qualified and support radiology transcription issue resolution.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology (required).
• Registered Radiological Technologist (ARRT) — required.
• Registered Mammographer — preferred.
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist — preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in Radiology Management and supervision.
• Minimum 5 years' experience as a Radiology Technologist.
• PACS training required; CT/MRI technologist experience preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of federal, state and accreditation regulations related to radiology services.

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• ARRT certification (Registered Radiological Technologist)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong working knowledge of PACS and digitized imaging workflows.
• Familiarity with MQSA requirements and mammography quality standards.
• Experience with radiology QA/QC, equipment maintenance and lead apron testing.
• Chargemaster management and partnering with Finance to optimize revenue capture.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to document medical information clearly.
• Comfort working in multiple computer systems and learning new imaging exams as required.
• Ability to supervise and develop staff, build strong teams, and manage daily operations.
