Roles & Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize clinical applications and EHR content in coordination with clinical and IT teams
• Manage user accounts and access within clinical systems
• Design and deliver engaging training across modalities: classroom, one-on-one, remote shadowing and web conferencing
• Develop clear, usable training materials and documentation for clinical staff
• Triage user issues and coordinate resolution with Help Desk, PC techs, network admins and clinical leaders
• Update clinical content (labs, radiology, meds, immunizations, codes) to reflect best practices
• Continuously assess and improve clinical decision support and workflows
• Collaborate with vendors and SEARHC teams to implement system improvements and ensure alignment across clinics

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (Alaska or other U.S. state required; direct hires must have applied for Alaska license before start date; agency staff must hold an active Alaska license)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years clinical/work experience in a medical setting (clinical experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years experience with clinical information systems
• Minimum 1 year experience with computer technology (programming, installation, reporting, or hardware)
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for experience on a year-by-year basis
• Clinical informatics training, teaching experience, HL7 experience, and inpatient clinical experience are all strong pluses

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for experience

Knowledge & Skills

• EHR configuration and optimization and clinical content management
• Clinical workflows and decision support systems
• Familiarity with HL7 messaging and clinical interfacing
• Experience with scheduling, radiology, laboratory and document scanning systems
• Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to problem-solve, prioritize and work independently or in teams
• Comfort working across multiple sites and with occasional travel via jet, small aircraft and ferry
