Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered occupational therapy services to patients across the facility, focusing on meaningful functional outcomes
• Assess patient needs and develop individualized treatment plans that promote independence and safety
• Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care and optimize patient progress
• Document patient evaluations, goals, and progress in a clear, timely manner
• Educate patients and families on strategies, adaptive equipment, and community resources to support recovery
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive, solutions-focused care environment

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in California or eligible to obtain California licensure
• Active national certification (e.g., NBCOT) preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification (or willing to obtain)
• Comfortable treating a diverse adult population in an inpatient/outpatient setting
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
• Professional, reliable, and patient-focused; travel assignment experience a plus

Education

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assessment and development of OT treatment plans and interventions
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment, ADLs/IADLs, and home safety evaluation
• Familiarity with clinical documentation standards and electronic health records
• Ability to prioritize caseload, manage time effectively, and provide efficient, high-quality care
• Culturally sensitive approach and strong patient education skills
