Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care in the endoscopy and special procedures suite, ensuring patient safety and comfort
• Prepare and assist with endoscopic procedures, including instrument setup and sterile technique
• Monitor patients pre-, intra- and post-procedure, recognizing and responding to changes in condition
• Collaborate with physicians, techs, and the interdisciplinary team to ensure efficient, high-quality care
• Document procedures, patient status, and interventions accurately in the medical record
• Participate in the unit call rotation and respond promptly to on-call responsibilities
• Adhere to ACLS and BCLS protocols and support emergency interventions when needed
• Support quality improvement, infection control, and patient education initiatives

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing (required)
• Minimum five (5) years of nursing experience, with endoscopy/special procedures experience required
• Current ACLS certification (required)
• Current BCLS/CLS certification (required)
• Willingness to participate in call rotation and work variable shifts, including holidays as needed
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in endoscopy suite workflow and special procedures
• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and instrumentation handling
• Ability to monitor and manage sedation and cardiopulmonary status
• Proficiency in emergency response and ACLS/BCLS protocols
• Comfortable with IV therapy, patient assessment, and procedure-level documentation
• Collaborative communication with physicians and multidisciplinary teams
