Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of both the Cath Lab and ICU, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care
• Lead, mentor, and develop nursing staff and technical teams to build a strong unit culture
• Coordinate pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and post-procedure care for Cath Lab patients
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and float assignments while balancing patient acuity and staff wellbeing
• Ensure competency in critical care practices including titration of vasoactive drips and ventilator support
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and facility leadership to drive clinical improvements
• Maintain regulatory compliance, documentation integrity, and adherence to hospital policies
• Respond as needed on-call to support patient care decisions and operational issues

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Kansas or compact RN acceptable); valid driver's license and ability to meet 60-mile radius requirement
• Minimum 3 years RN experience required
• Minimum 1 year nurse management experience and 1 year clinical leadership experience required
• Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), RCIS (via CCI), NIHSS, TNCC, and CRRT competency
• Fluoro license or demonstrated Cath Lab experience preferred for technical oversight
• Demonstrated ability to manage telemetry/critical care patients and titrate vasoactive drips
• Experience with staff scheduling/self-scheduling models and unit-level orientation planning

Education

• Active RN license required
• Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN — BSN preferred but not required

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical leadership and nurse management skills
• Expertise in Cath Lab workflows and ICU critical care nursing
• Familiarity with EPIC charting system and electronic documentation
• Comfort with ventilators, CPAP/BiPAP/high-flow modalities and respiratory support
• Proficiency with telemetry monitoring and reading strips
• Skill managing vasoactive drips, blood products, and moderate sedation processes
• Ability to build culture, coach staff, and drive continuous competency improvements
