Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI exams and procedures accurately and safely, producing high-quality diagnostic images
• Assist radiologists and other medical staff during exams to ensure smooth, effective patient care
• Complete thorough documentation and image archiving to support accurate interpretation and retrieval
• Retrieve and file exam jackets, written orders, and related health information to keep workflows timely
• Perform ancillary duties that support proper distribution, billing, and archival of exams
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and hospital strategic plan activities to elevate patient care

Qualifications

• Registered in MRI (ARRT) — this role requires active MRI registration
• MRI Technician Certification is required
• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program
• Ability to perform MRI procedures and assist radiologists in a fast-paced environment
• Professional demeanor with strong patient-care focus and documentation practices

Education

• Graduate of a CAHEA-accredited Radiology program

Knowledge & Skills

• MRI imaging and image acquisition techniques
• Patient care and safe patient handling for imaging procedures
• Medical documentation, archiving, and information retrieval
• Familiarity with MRI protocols and MR safety principles
• Strong communication skills for collaborating with radiologists and medical staff
