Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality Med/Surg nursing care to adult patients with compassion and clinical excellence
• Perform thorough assessments, monitor patient status, and escalate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while following facility protocols
• Coordinate care with interdisciplinary team members to ensure smooth patient transitions
• Document patient care clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
• Participate in safety and quality initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Active Hawaii RN license required prior to the start of the contract
• Experience working in Med/Surg nursing and comfort with 12-hour rotating shifts
• Willingness and ability to work consecutive weekends as needed
• Current BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start) is preferred
• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid Med/Surg assessment and clinical decision-making skills
• Medication administration and IV therapy familiarity
• Accurate documentation and charting skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple patients safely
• Teamwork and clear communication with patients, families, and staff
