Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide continuous airway management and high-quality respiratory care for adult, pediatric and neonatal patients
• Manage invasive and non-invasive ventilators, including PB 980, PB 840 and V60, to optimize patient breathing
• Perform transport ventilator support (ParaPac) and ensure safe patient transfers
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust respiratory treatment plans
• Respond to and perform CPR and advanced airway procedures when needed
• Document care accurately using computerized charting and manage medications via Pyxis
• Educate patients and families on respiratory care, equipment use and discharge instructions

Qualifications

• State of Hawaii Respiratory Therapy License required (must have license by assignment start)
• Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
• BLS, PALS and ACLS required
• RRT preferred; NRP preferred
• Proof of flu vaccination or a facility-approved medical/religious exception prior to contract start
• Comfort caring for adult, pediatric and neonatal populations

Knowledge & Skills

• Ventilator management and non-invasive ventilation expertise
• Experience with PB 980, PB 840, V60 and ParaPac transport ventilators
• Strong airway management and emergency response skills (CPR)
• Familiarity with computerized charting systems and Pyxis medication management
• Ability to consult effectively with physicians and the care team
• Competence in adult, pediatric and neonatal respiratory care
