Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive, individualized respiratory care based on assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Perform patient assessments and develop/implement respiratory care plans that improve outcomes
• Coordinate care with the Cardiopulmonary Director, Lead RRT, and interdisciplinary team
• Operate within scope of practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner and maintain accurate documentation
• Function independently once oriented and contribute as a reliable team player
• Support obstetrics (OB) patients with specialized respiratory needs and interventions
• Safely lift, move, and handle patients and equipment according to department standards

Qualifications

• Current Washington State Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required or equivalent
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
• Strong Obstetrics (OB) experience required
• Prefer one year of recent acute care experience; new graduates may be considered
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with the care team
• Meet physical requirements (lifting and patient handling as described by the facility)

• Respiratory care and cardiopulmonary care fundamentals
• Patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Acute care competencies (preferred)
• Safe patient handling and mobility techniques
• Clear clinical documentation and communication with interdisciplinary teams
• Ability to follow departmental protocols and function under minimal supervision
