Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including assistance with activities of daily living
- Measure and record vital signs accurately and communicate changes promptly
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote mobility and comfort
- Assist nursing team with bedside care and timely documentation in the resident record
- Maintain infection control and a clean, safe environment for residents
- Build rapport with residents and families to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current state Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable with 12+ hour day shifts and reliable attendance
- Available to start within two weeks (ASAP starts encouraged)
- Willing to commit to an 11-week travel assignment at the facility
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state CNA certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of ADLs, transfer techniques, and safe patient handling
- Proficient in taking and documenting vital signs and observing resident condition
- Familiarity with infection prevention practices and facility safety protocols
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff
- Compassion, patience, and a genuine desire to improve residents' quality of life
